When I Was 15, I Learned That
Creativity Goes A Long Way...
I was a freshman in high school and my history class was just assigned our final project: give a presentation on an influential period of time. I was lucky enough to get assigned everyone's favorite, The Byzantine Empire. Dreading the future assembly of the tri-fold poster board and overestimating my skills in video editing, I asked if my group could instead make a 5-minute video covering the topic. I directed, filmed (poorly), and edited (not too bad actually) the entire thing. We got an A (maybe an A-). From then on, I always pitched a video idea to every teacher I ever had, to the success of 7 more video projects throughout high school.
What started as a way to get out of a boring textbook report became a passion for utilizing creativity to tell stories and solve problems. My passion for video production changed my life in so many ways. It connected me to new and important faces and stories during my time as a video reporter for the campus newspaper at Lehigh University. It taught me to always think creatively and make something with purpose. And now, it has become a career I am in love with.
I produce (and sometimes direct, shoot and edit) large-scale branded content programs for influential brands including Barstool Sports, WIRED, The New Yorker, Teen Vogue, and them. As an independent creator, I've produced, directed, shot, and edited everything from music videos and comedy sketches to weddings and social media advertisements.
